Real Madrid’s coach, Carlo Ancelotti, could face a four-year prison sentence.
He is accused of tax evasion, allegedly misleading the tax office during his first spell at Real Madrid in the 2014-2015 period, according to IndeksOnline. Ancelotti is accused of concealing around 1 million euros of his income.
The Italian coach is set to appear in court on April 2, while he has denied all accusations against him.
“This is an old story. The prosecution believes I was a resident in 2015, while I believe I was not. The fine has been paid, and the case is in the hands of my lawyers. I am convinced that I am innocent. Let’s see what the judge decides,” Ancelotti stated.
