English legend Teddy Sheringham believes Portuguese striker Cristiano Ronaldo would be happy to join Manchester City this summer.
When asked whether City should sign the 40-year-old Portuguese for the Club World Cup while Erling Haaland is injured, Sheringham responded affirmatively.
“Man Utd fans wouldn’t be too happy about it. But if everything aligns, Ronaldo would probably take the opportunity. He could definitely score a goal, right? You can’t deny that,” Sheringham initially said.
“Yeah, City looked a bit lost without their focal point [in the Manchester derby], didn’t they?”
“I hadn’t even considered that possibility, but Ronaldo would definitely be excited. It would be interesting.”
“I’d bet that if he were offered the chance to join City, he’d take it enthusiastically,” concluded the former United striker.
