The big Milan is returning, the Rossoneri are expected to transfer four stars to win the Scudetto.

“Tuttosport” newspaper, speaking about AC Milan’s ideas for the upcoming summer transfer market, reports how the red and blacks aim to make four targeted moves for the 2024-2025 season.

The purchases will serve to enhance the technical, qualitative, and competitive level of the squad. With the declared aim of winning the 20th title in just over 12 months.

  • Olivier Giroud will depart: he will sign for 18 months with Los Angeles FC (LAFC), in the MLS. The priority for the “Devil” in the transfer market will therefore be the arrival of a new number 9. The favorite is Joshua Zirkzee of Bologna, for whom a considerable investment needs to be evaluated. However, Benjamin Sesko (Leipzig), Santiago Gimenez (Feyenoord), and Victor Guire (Sporting Lisbon) also remain in the race. As well as the usual Jonathan David (Lille), who has the advantage of costing less than everyone else, since his contract expires in 2025.

IN MIDFIELD – Then, Milan will make a midfield purchase in the summer transfer market. The team needs a more defensive element than those already on the list. The names of Khephren Thuram (Nice) and Youssef Fofana (Monaco) were mentioned. But the feeling, according to ‘Tuttosport’, is that the Milan management aims to seek a deal like the one that brought Ruben Loftus-Cheek to “Milanello” a year ago. Looking, perhaps, carefully at some interesting excesses from the big names of English teams (Sofyan Amrabat?).

BACKLINE – With the possible farewell of Simon Kjaer – whose contract expires in June – and with Piero Kalulu’s physical fragility, Milan will need a center-back in the 2024 summer transfer market. The name of Chelsea’s Benuat Badiashile has come back into fashion. It could represent a possibility: excellent relations with the ‘Blues’ must be strongly considered. The last position to be filled is that of a replacement for Theo Hernandez. Even this year, when the Frenchman was either unavailable or needed to play in the center of defense, Stefano Pioli was forced to play with an adapted element, such as Alessandro Florenzi or Alex Hjelm.
