It promises to be a true spectacle.
That’s what happens when the Champions League final is played, and the lucky ones are the fans who get to watch it live in the stadium. However, the biggest problem is actually finding a ticket.
The Italian daily La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that over 300,000 ticket requests have been made by fans of Paris SG and Inter, far exceeding the stadium’s capacity.
The final, taking place next Wednesday, will be held at Munich’s Allianz Arena, which seats 70,000 for international matches.
Fans of both clubs will have access to 18,000 tickets each, while the remaining tickets will be sold online to fans across Europe and the world, aside from those reserved for invited guests.
As always in such high-demand events, the so-called “black market” flourishes, despite UEFA’s strict security measures.
La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that on the black market, PSG fans may find one of the cheapest official tickets, normally priced at €180, being sold for €3,000.
The same ticket for Inter fans can go up to €4,300 due to higher demand from the Italian side.
A designated seat in the business zone can reach up to €20,400, while a spot in the VIP Prestige area is being sold for around €32,000 per ticket, according to ABC News.
Beyond these concerns, a major issue could also be the chaos during fan entry at the stadium, similar to what happened with Liverpool supporters during the final played in Paris against Real Madrid.
