Manchester United could be preparing to sell both Alejandro Garnacho and Antony to Atletico Madrid during the 2025 summer transfer window.
Ruben Amorim has admitted that his team will need to offload some players before being able to afford new arrivals this summer, and Garnacho and Antony are among the stars expected to leave Old Trafford ahead of the new season.
Antony impressed during his loan spell at Real Betis in January, while Garnacho has scored only two goals in his last 30 appearances, continuing to struggle under Amorim’s management.
However, Atletico Madrid are monitoring both players and are reportedly ready to make a double offer this summer, according to TBR Football.
Garnacho spent seven years in Atletico Madrid’s academy before joining Man Utd in 2022, and Diego Simeone is reportedly eager to bring him back to the Wanda Metropolitano this year.
Meanwhile, the Spanish giants have also been closely tracking Antony since his arrival in La Liga and are ready to enter the race for his signature following his solid performances at Real Betis.
The Brazilian has contributed eight goals in 16 matches for the club, and although Betis would like to make the move permanent this summer, they are not expected to meet Man Utd’s wage or transfer fee demands.
Atletico Madrid are said to be ready to step up their pursuit of both Man Utd players in the coming weeks, with the Red Devils expected to demand around €100 million for the pair.
If United manage to sell Garnacho and Antony for such a fee, it could help the club secure their top transfer target, Victor Osimhen.
The Nigerian is expected to finally leave Napoli this summer, following a loan spell at Galatasaray, and Old Trafford is considered one of the most likely destinations.
In addition to Garnacho and Antony, TEAMtalk reports that Man Utd may also look to sell Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee this summer, as Amorim seeks a major overhaul of the attacking department.
The Red Devils have scored just 38 goals in 32 Premier League matches this season, with Hojlund and Zirkzee each netting only three goals in the league.
