Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has stated that French star Kylian Mbappe can reach the level of Cristiano Ronaldo at Real Madrid.
The Italian manager appeared yesterday at a press conference ahead of Real Madrid’s match against Real Sociedad, which takes place tonight in the semi-finals of the Copa del Rey. Real Madrid hosts Sociedad for the second leg at the Santiago Bernabeu after winning the first match 1-0.
During the conference, Ancelotti made a strong statement, saying that he believes Mbappe can achieve what Ronaldo did at Real Madrid. Ronaldo spent eight seasons in the Spanish capital, scoring 450 goals and winning the Champions League five times, among many other trophies.
“I expect that Mbappe will achieve what Ronaldo did with Real Madrid. I think he can do it, and he will be a Real Madrid legend, just like Cristiano Ronaldo,” said Ancelotti.
