Manchester City and the club’s star, Erling Haaland, are struggling to find good form this season.
The team has managed only one win in their last 12 matches across all competitions. Meanwhile, the “goal-scoring machine,” Erling Haaland, has hit a dry spell and is no longer scoring as before. He has netted only three goals in his last 11 games.
The Norwegian has faced heavy criticism from sports analysts and pundits in Britain. However, Guardiola has come to the defense of the 24-year-old.
“It’s about the team, not just one player. When Erling was scoring so many goals, it was because of the whole team. Haaland is very important for us and will remain so in the future. We need to use him better.
“Everything is about us, all of us. The boys are running harder than ever. Many big and small details make us less effective than before,” said Guardiola.
City’s next match is against Everton on Thursday as part of the Premier League.
