However, the Florida-based club is working on keeping the world champion in the coastal city for a longer period.
According to the outlet “TyC Sports,” the idea of David Beckham and his co-owners is to propose a one-year contract extension to Messi, keeping him at the club until 2026.
Messi has not yet decided whether to extend his American experience, as his primary focus remains on the 2026 World Cup.
Considering that this tournament will take place in the United States, along with Canada and Mexico, it would be ideal for Messi to continue playing in America, staying close and acclimated to the country ahead of the World Cup.
