Football in mourning, German legend passes away at the age of 63

The legend of Germany, Andreas Brehme, has passed away at the age of 63.

The German media Bild writes that the former star of Bayern Munich, Inter Milan, and the German national team, passed away in the early hours of Monday following a cardiac arrest.

Brehme, besides being a player, has also been a football coach, and is best remembered for his winning goal for Germany in the 1990 World Cup final against Argentina with a penalty kick in the 85th minute.

He played as a left-back, who was capable of playing across the entire line, while standing out for his crossing abilities, free kicks, and penalties.
